Caw-blade in modern

It’s happening. Especially because my store actually does modern events! And I’ve been surprised to find out that I would actually play zoo. Only countercat zoo of course, because I do not like playing decks without blue in them, but I would play that version of zoo. Just a random fact I guess.

Beginning to reacquire my stock of things for post...

back to 2 snappy’s and a Geist. Still have quite a ways to go. Also, trying to deduce what the metagame is going to be like post rotation is difficult. It seems like red is getting a TON of things to help (by a ton I mean 4 vexing devil, not saying it’s broken by any means, but it’s a good card.) but I’m hoping some more control stuff comes around.

FNM went pretty well for me tonight. My friend lent me esper planeswalkers, and I went 3-1, only losing to the mirror match. He resolved the Karn first. Managed to get water all over the rest of frites, apparently my friend was only able to trade for a ratchet bomb and a curse of death’s hold at the PTQ, and I am officially deckless. This is not a good feeling, not by any means. I mean, I can borrow decks and all, but it feels wrong when I’m not playing with my own cards. I do not like it.

To all you people who keep bitching about Brian...

People are bitching about that? I don’t see why. I think everyone should just be appreciative that we were able to witness one of the best games of magic ever between two of the best players of the game. It could have swung either way, but it was still an amazing match.
